Frequently Asked Questions

How many people can stay?

The cottage sleeps two. It’s built for couples.

Can we bring the kids?

The farmlet is set up as a retreat for couples, with only one queen bed, we’re not able to host children.

Can we bring our dog?

We’re not able to host pets, as we have livestock, free-roaming birds and a working guardian dog on the property.

What about assistance animals?

You’re welcome, with a few important notes. For the safety of both our livestock and your animal, an accredited assistance animal must remain on a leash outdoors at all times. We also can’t guarantee our Maremma guardian dog, Shinobi, will be relaxed about a visiting animal nearby, as protecting the farm is her job. If this applies to you, please get in touch before booking so we can talk it through.

Do we get to meet the goats?

It’s a complimentary part of your stay and most of them the highlight of your trip. You’re invited to join the morning or afternoon feed. Baby goats arrive from August through to November, get in touch for birthing dates if you’d like to time your visit.

Is there a kitchen?

There’s a kitchenette with a microwave convection oven, toaster, sandwich maker, kettle and fridge, plus a barbecue and camping stovetop outside. There’s no full stovetop indoors, so if you’re planning big cook-ups every night, we may not be the right fit.

Is breakfast included?

Yes. A hamper of coffee, teas, local milk, juice, homemade organic muesli, oats, local bread and fruit, plus whatever’s in harvest.

Will we see you during our stay?

We are always on-sight and contactable, and we’ll always give you a friendly wave. But the cottage is yours, and we’ll leave you to your privacy.
